
On September 23, 2026, Zhang Wenzhi, President of The University of Hong Kong-Shenzhen Hospital, led a delegation including Vice President He Jiayi, Head of the Research Department Li Xinke, Manager of the Central Laboratory Zhang Ji, and Assistant Researcher of the Clinical Research Office Ren Yuan, to visit the Shenzhen-Hong Kong Cell Valley. The two parties engaged in in-depth exchanges on topics including early-stage research, clinical research, and translation related to orthopedic joint reconstruction and sports medicine, as well as clinical research collaboration in cell therapy and GMP platform co-development, jointly exploring a new paradigm of medical-enterprise collaboration to advance the high-quality development of the cell therapy industry.

At the outset of the exchange, Professor Shi Yuanyuan, Director and General Manager of the Cell Valley Group, extended a warm welcome to the delegation from The University of Hong Kong-Shenzhen Hospital and provided a systematic introduction to Cell Valley's development in the cell therapy field, covering platform development, technology systems, and industrialization layout. Leveraging its self-developed core delivery technology platforms and GMP industrialization experience, Cell Valley has built full-chain service capabilities covering technology R&D, production and manufacturing, and industrial implementation, enabling it to provide support to partners in platform co-development, technology collaboration, and achievement translation. Professor Shi Yuanyuan expressed his hope to deeply integrate the company's industrialization capabilities with the hospital's clinical research strengths to jointly accelerate the clinical translation of cell therapy research achievements.
During the symposium, the two parties focused on in-depth discussions regarding early-stage research, clinical research, and translation work related to orthopedic joint reconstruction and sports medicine. President Zhang Wenzhi highly affirmed the Cell Valley Group's platform development and industrialization capabilities. He stated that the hospital is accelerating its layout in cell therapy-related research, and that the two parties have strong complementarity and broad cooperation space in clinical research collaboration and GMP platform co-development. He expressed his hope to take this exchange as an opportunity to facilitate the early implementation and tangible results of their cooperation.
