To promote innovative development in plateau life sciences and facilitate the compliant implementation of cell therapy technologies, Qinghai University Affiliated Hospital recently successfully held a Life Science Frontier Innovation Forum. The forum was moderated by Shen Guoshuang, Vice President of Qinghai University Affiliated Hospital, and brought together hospital leadership, clinical experts, and research core faculty to explore frontier development pathways in biomedicine. Professor Shi Yuanyuan, Chairman of the Cell Valley Group, was invited to attend the forum and delivered a special lecture titled "Industry Restructuring and New Opportunities in the CGT Sector Under the New Decree No. 818 Policy."

In his lecture, Professor Shi Yuanyuan focused on the core content of the national Decree No. 818, systematically interpreting the regulatory changes, industry restructuring, and compliance requirements brought by the new regulations to the cell and gene therapy sector. He provided an in-depth analysis of the industry restructuring trends and emerging opportunities generated by the new policy. At the same time, drawing on real-world clinical translation scenarios, he shared new approaches and pathways for standardized research in CGT technologies, hospital-enterprise collaborative innovation, and the implementation of clinical outcomes, offering professional and systematic guidance for the hospital's frontier biomedical research and clinical applications.

This academic forum marked the first indepth academic collaboration following the strategic partnership agreement signed between the Cell Valley Group and Qinghai University Affiliated Hospital. Building on this exchange, both sides further aligned their development approaches to frontier biomedical innovation and compliant clinical translation, laying a solid foundation for the subsequent joint enhancement of the Plateau Cell Clinical Translation Center, collaborative development of cell-based diagnosis and treatment for plateau-specific diseases, and two-way cultivation of CGT professionals. The two parties will continue to leverage the advantages of deep industry-academia-research integration, jointly advancing innovation and upgrading in plateau cell medicine and contributing to the high-quality development of "Healthy Qinghai."
