On September 15, 2026, a Swedish life sciences delegation visited the Shenzhen-Hong Kong Cell Valley for in-depth cooperation exchanges on China-Sweden cell and gene therapy (CGT) industry chain collaboration and the international implementation of innovative therapies. Dr. Fu Yuchen, Director of the International Medical Service Center of the Cell Valley Group, received the delegation.
The delegation was organized by the Swedish Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong and comprised representatives from multiple Swedish life sciences institutions. Members included Michael Spangfort, representative of the Swedish Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong; Lucy Robertshaw, Head of Lucy J Robertshaw AB and Project Lead of the Nordic Future Health Delegation; and heads of several enterprises and institutions covering tracks including cell therapy, microbiome and live biotherapeutics, digital health, infection control, drug development, and market access.

During the visit, the life sciences delegation toured the Shenzhen-Hong Kong Cell Valley's core exhibition hall and the real-time display screens of the group's interconnected laboratories across multiple s. Dr. Fu Yuchen provided a systematic introduction to Cell Valley's construction layout, research platforms, industrial ecosystem, and core achievements in international cooperation.

During the exchange, Dr. Fu Yuchen stated that Sweden's life sciences industry possesses deep technological accumulation in cell therapy, microbiome therapeutics, digital health, and infection control, which is highly complementary to the Cell Valley Group's mature clinical translation capabilities and industrialization platform advantages. The two parties can focus on the core cell therapy track, linking technological resources across multiple fields, and engage in in-depth deliberation on full-chain cooperation spanning "R&D – clinical – registration – commercialization," exploring diverse implementation models. Michael Spangfort, representative of the Swedish Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong, highly recognized the outcomes of this visit, noting that it comprehensively deepened the Swedish life sciences community's understanding of the Cell Valley Group's industrial ecosystem and technological strength.
This visit established a professional exchange platform for the China-Sweden life sciences industry in the fields of cell and gene therapy and frontier innovative therapies. Going forward, both parties will continue to deepen the linkage of technology, industry, and clinical resources, jointly contributing to the high-quality development of the global biopharmaceutical industry and benefiting more patients.
